Choreographers Showcase | 7:30 P.M. | Detroit Film Theater
Providing a platform for Choreographers to present their work on the majestic Detroit Film Theater stage, DDCF's Choreographer showcase is an opportunity to bring together artist and dancers from around the world to share their current projects with each other and with DDCF audiences alike. From among the diverse body of works submitted by our applicants, pieces have been thoughtfully selected to showcase an inclusive representation of local, national, and international talent.
Friday Night- Body Rap | 9:00 P.M. | Crystal Gallery
A highlight of DDCF, this exciting late-night event brings people together to celebrate dance through a nighttime dance party featuring electric performances by dance crews from Detroit and beyond. This year will include a special performance presentation from international guest, Kyung Hwa Hong, of “Body Rap - Diverse Dance”. Through networking with Korean artists residing in Detroit and Detroit artists, we seek to find an intersection of culture and art in each country.

DDCF presents an exciting series of Master Classes, taught by accomplished local, national, and international practitioners in diverse styles of dance. For all dancers ages 13 and up, Master Classes provide unique opportunities to learn from the best in the industry from across the globe.

Rivera Court Stage | 1:00 P.M., 2:00 P.M., 3:00 P.M. | Detroit Institute of Arts, Rivera Court
DDCF's "Rivera Court Stage" is a series of performance showcases taking place in Rivera Court located in the beautiful atrium of the Detroit Institute of Arts. This unique showcase is designed to highlight local, national, and international talent, sharing diverse styles of dance with DDCF audiences in an inspiring museum setting.
College Fair | 4:00 P.M. | Detroit Institute of Arts, Crystal Gallery
Our College Fair will bring College faculty from esteemed institutions to DDCF to network with high school students. This is a chance for aspiring college students to introduce themselves, ask any questions, get application and audition information and more!
This year, our College Networking Event will feature University of Michigan, Western Michigan University, Grand Valley State University, Oakland University, Central Michigan University, and Wayne State University. Come see current students from these institutions perform in our College Showcase!
COLLEGE SHOWCASE + CHOREOGRAPHERS SHOWCASE II | 7:30 P.M. | Detroit Institute of Arts, Detroit Film Theatre
The latest venture taken on by DDCF, the College Showcase, looks to give unique performance opportunities to the college-level dancer and choreographer. Paired with Choreographers Showcase, these showcases allow artists to share what they have been working on. These performances represent the exceptional work of local, national, and international dancers.

Please join our shared discussion on the importance of dance and art in our cities, its current state, and our hopes for its future. We are excited to welcome Nathan Trice as the Discussion Moderator and co-host for this event.

With featured performances by world-renowned guest dancers and choreographers, Dance and Celebration is always a favorite event with DDCF audiences. A major highlight of our festival's weekend long celebration taking place at the Detroit Film Theater, this is a performance you will not want to miss!
